Cultivated Mind is a local band here in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I had the pleasure of hearing them live at a bar one of the first nights after I decided to begin working for myself as a freelance artist and immediately felt inspired to create something for them. Especially when I asked for a card and the one they handed me was literally one of the first example on the business card page of Vistaprint I had seen earlier that day. 

I was told they had recently put out an album, and were already getting ready to publish another. I immediately went home and listened to their work while I got to work reproducing their already well-known "Jellyfish" icon and mascot in Adobe Illustrator and putting together some mock album and tour artwork.

I even designed an altered logo incorporating the jellyfish character taking the place of the "M" in Mind. The band, however, wanted to keep the original Pacifica font as before.
